Kuzeyboru GRP Pipes at ISKI Baltalimanı Wastewater Treatment Plant!
Providing high-quality pipe solutions for infrastructure projects worldwide, Kuzeyboru has supplied products to one of Istanbul’s most significant environmental investments the ISKI (Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration) Baltalimanı Wastewater Treatment Plant. Following acceptance at our Malatya production facility, the products were successfully dispatched.
The Baltalimanı Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant, modernized in line with ISKI’s sustainable environmental policies, serves the districts of Beyoğlu, Şişli, Beşiktaş, Eyüpsultan, Kağıthane, and Sarıyer. Operating as a preliminary treatment facility since 1997, the plant transitioned to a biological treatment system in 2023. Built on a 14-hectare area, it has a biological treatment capacity of 600,000 m³/day, serving an equivalent population of 2.4 million.
Kuzeyboru GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) pipes are the result of advanced engineering combined with a sustainable production philosophy. Principles of sustainable development are adopted at every stage of production from raw material selection to the final product with the goal of achieving a low carbon footprint and employing environmentally friendly manufacturing techniques.
Thanks to the innovative formulations and production techniques developed at the Kuzeyboru R&D Center, GRP pipes are designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions. Additionally, production can be customized to meet the specific technical needs of each project, maximizing both engineering flexibility and application efficiency. Kuzeyboru GRP pipes are not only strong and long-lasting but also a product of quality, environmental awareness, and engineering expertise.
As part of the project, Kuzeyboru GRP pipes renowned for their durability and long service life were selected. The pipes, specially manufactured with UV protection, received full marks from solution partners for their ease of installation and system efficiency.
